By accessing or using SaylorPay as a Merchant, you agree to
comply with the terms and conditions of this Acceptable Use Policy.
Restricted Activities
You may not use SaylorPay’s Service(s) in connection with
any product, service, transaction or activity that:
- violates
any rule or regulation of the Service Provider (MTN Ghana, Telecel Ghana
and AirtelTigo Ghana)
- violates
any law or government regulation, or promotes or facilitates such by third
parties;
- is
fraudulent, deceptive, unfair or predatory;
- causes
or threatens reputational damage to US or any Service Provider
- involves
any of the business categories listed under Certain Business Categories
- results
in or creates a significant risk of chargebacks, penalties, damages or
other harm or liability.
Certain Business Categories
SaylorPay shall not solicit or sign agreements with
merchants engaging in any activity that relates to the sale and/or purchase of:
- banned
narcotics, steroids, certain controlled substances or other products that
present a risk to the consumer's safety;
- blood,
bodily fluids or body parts;
- burglary
tools;
- counterfeit
items;
- illegal
drugs and drug paraphernalia;
- fireworks,
destructive devices and explosives;
- identity
documents, government documents, personal financial records or personal
information (in any form, including mailing lists);
- lottery
tickets, sweepstakes entries or slot machines without the required
license;
- offensive
material or hate speech or items that promote hate, violence, racial
intolerance, or the financial exploitation of a crime;
- harmful
chemicals;
- recalled
items;
- prohibited
services;
- unlicensed
financial services, stocks or other securities;
- stolen
property;
- items
that infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity or
privacy or any other proprietary right under the laws of any
jurisdiction;
- obscene
material or pornography;
- certain
sexually oriented materials or services;
- certain
firearms, firearm parts or accessories, ammunition, weapons or knives;
- any
product or service that is illegal or marketed or sold in such a way as
to create liability to Us
- production
of military and paramilitary wears and accoutrement, including those of
the Police and the Customs, Immigration and Prison Services.
- Cannabis
products or services including dispensaries, delivery services, CBD/THC
products.
- Tobacco
products, including e-Cigarettes.
- Drug
Paraphernalia.
- Firearms,
weapons, ammunition, gunpowder, fireworks and other explosive substances,
chemicals or devices.
- Research
chemicals, peptides, and other toxic, flammable or radioactive materials.
- Investment
or “get rich quick” merchants, businesses or programs.
- Marijuana
dispensaries and related products or services.
- Multi-Level
Marketing Businesses.
- “Negative
option” marketing, renewal, or continuity subscription practices;
marketing activities involving low-dollar trails, “pay only for
shipping,” and/or “free trial” periods after which a credit card is
charged periodically and/or a significantly larger amount.
- Pawn
Shops.
- Pseudo
Pharmaceuticals.
- Psychics
and “occult” businesses.
- Quasi-Cash
or Stored Value.
- Substances
designed to mimic illegal drugs.
- Transacting
Virtual Currency or credits that can be monetized, re-sold or converted
to physical or digital goods or services or otherwise exit the virtual
world.
- Identification
Providing Services.
- Business,
content, services or behaviour that promotes, glorifies or engages in
unlawful violence, physical or virtual harm to property, persons, or
group on the basis of race, national origin, religion, disability,
gender, or sexual orientation.
- Predatory
financial services including but not limited to credit counselling,
wealth management, or loan consulting.
- Pornography
or other adult audience products or services including images, video,
audio, literature, live chat services or other media, which convey
explicitly sexual behavior.
- Bail
Bond Services, Bankruptcy Lawyers, or Law Firms collecting funds for any
service other than legal services fees.
- In-person
gambling or sweepstakes or contests, fantasy sports leagues offering
monetary or value prizes or awards.
- Bidding
fee auctions.
- Any
unlawful activities/items or encouragement of the same.
