How To Send Money On An MTN Merchant SIM Using SaylorPay

Important Notice
MTN Merchant SIMs currently do not support sending money to:

An MTN Merchant SIM can only send money to other MTN numbers.
Below is a clear guide on how to send money to other MTN subscribers using your MTN Merchant SIM via SaylorPay:



            Step 1: Launch SaylorPay & enable Merchant Mode

            Open the SaylorPay app and enable Merchant Mode if it isn't already active



Step 2: Navigate to Send Money

Once Merchant Mode is active, tap "Send Money" on the main menu.
This takes you to the Send Money page.



            Step 3: Enter the Recipient's MTN Number

            Type in the recipient's phone number, or select it from your contacts.


Important Note on Ported Numbers:
SaylorPay automatically detects the recipient's network based on standard network prefixes:

If a phone number starts with a Telecel or AirtelTigo prefix but has been ported to MTN, make sure to manually reselect MTN as the network. Failing to do so will result in a transaction error.



Step 4: Enter the Amount

Input the amount you wish to send.



            Step 5: Add a Reference

            Choose one of the following:



Step 6: Confirm Sending Network

Select "MTN" as the network to send money from.



            Step 7: Initiate the Transfer

            Tap “SEND”.
            SaylorPay will automate the entire USSD process up to the point where your PIN is required.



Step 8: Enter Your Mobile Money PIN

When prompted, input your Mobile Money PIN to authorize and complete the transaction.


Summary

MTN Merchant SIMs can only send money to MTN users
 Payments to Telecel, AirtelTigo, or Merchant IDs is not currently supported
Ported numbers must be manually corrected if misidentified
