Gone are the days of shouting your phone number across the
room or texting it every time someone wants to send you money.
With SaylorPay’s Scan to Pay & QR Code system,
you can make and receive mobile money payments easily and privately.
What Is SaylorPay's QR
Code Payment Feature?
SaylorPay allows users to generate a unique QR Code
tied to a specific mobile number, a specific amount, and specific reference.
This QR Code can be:
- Shared
digitally (WhatsApp, email, social media, etc.)
- Displayed
for in-person scans (great for vendors, freelancers, small
businesses)
Anyone with the SaylorPay app installed on their
smart phone can scan or import this QR code to automatically begin the
mobile money payment process.
How It Works (In
Summary)
➤ You (Receiver) Generate a QR
Code
✅ You enter a phone number (this
can either be your own number if receiving payment for yourself or another
third party’s number if aiding that third party receive payment), amount, and
reference, and SaylorPay generates a QR code that encodes this data.
You can either
- Share the
QR Code digitally (WhatsApp, email, social media, etc.) or
- Display
the QR Code for in-person scans (great for vendors, freelancers,
small businesses)
➤ They (Sender) Scan or Import
the QR Code
✅ The sender selects the
SIM/network to pay from and either scans the code or imports it.
✅ SaylorPay decodes the QR code
and auto-dials the correct USSD code, filling in the amount, recipient phone number,
and reference.
✅ The process pauses only at the
final step - where the sender must enter their Mobile Money PIN
to approve the transfer.
