Sending money on MTN with SaylorPay is fast, secure, and incredibly easy.
No need to memorize USSD codes, no internet connection required - you can complete your transfer in less than 30 seconds.

Follow these simple steps to send money on MTN using the SaylorPay app:

Step 1: Open the SaylorPay App

From the main menu, select “Send Money”.
This will take you to the Send Money page.

Step 2: Enter or Select the Recipient’s Number

Important Note on Ported SIMs:

SaylorPay detects the mobile network based on standard network prefixes:

If the number has been ported to a different network, you must manually correct the network selection before proceeding.

Example:
If a number starts with 054 (MTN prefix) but has been ported to Telecel or AirtelTigo, SaylorPay will still detect it as MTN.
To avoid transaction errors, you must reselect the correct network manually.

Failing to do this may result in a failed transfer because the phone number is no longer on the MTN network, despite its prefix.

            Step 3: Enter the Amount

Input the amount you wish to send.

Step 4: Add a Reference

Choose one of two options:

            Step 5: Select the Network

Choose “MTN” as the network to send money from.

Step 6: Initiate the Transfer

Tap “SEND” to continue.
SaylorPay will handle the USSD dialing process automatically, up to the point where your PIN is needed.

Step 7: Enter Your Mobile Money PIN

When prompted, enter your Mobile Money PIN to authorize and complete the transaction.

Done!

With SaylorPay, sending money on MTN is now effortless, secure, and lightning-fast - just the way it should be.
