How to Send Money on AirtelTigo Using SaylorPay

Sending money on AirtelTigo is now very easy, simple and fast when you use SaylorPay.
With the app, you can send money in under 30 seconds without the need to memorize USSD codes or navigate long and complex menus.

Follow these simple steps to send money on AirtelTigo using the SaylorPay app:

Step 1: Launch the SaylorPay App

From the SaylorPay main menu, select “Send Money”.

This will take you to the Send Money page.

Step 2: Enter or Select the Recipient's Number

Manually enter the phone number of the recipient or
Select the recipient number directly from your phone’s contact list.

Important Note on Ported SIMs:

SaylorPay automatically detects the network of the number you enter based on standard network prefixes:

MTN: 053, 054, 055, 059, 024, 025
Telecel: 020, 050
AirtelTigo (Glo Ghana inclusive): 026, 027, 056, 057, 023

However, if the number has been ported to another network (for example, a number that starts with 057 (which is AirtelTigo by standard prefix) but has been ported to Telecel or MTN),
you must manually reselect the correct network after entering the number.

Example:
If the number starts with "057" (standard for AirtelTigo) but is now ported to MTN or Telecel, SaylorPay will automatically select AirtelTigo as the network. So, you need to manually change the network selection to match the current network of the number.

Failure to manually correct the network will result in a failed transaction.

Step 3: Enter the Amount

Input the amount you wish to send.

Step 4: Set a Reference

You have two options:

Manually enter a preferred reference for the transaction or
Check the "Auto-generate Reference" box to allow SaylorPay automatically generate a unique reference for you every time.
